HELP WITH YOUR UNIQUE ISSUES
Feeling out of Sorts. Sadness, Hopelessness and Anxious?
Painful emotional experiences can create distorted and damaging self-perceptions. We see therapy as an opportunity to modify these messages and establish healthier life patterns. Current distress offers the chance to develop healthier coping skills and a more accurate self-understanding that enhance future experiences and relationships.
NON-JUDGMENTAL DISCUSSION
Dealing with Fear and Stress within your life.
We believe that we are responsible for our lives, which can be both empowering and frightening. Life is complex and unpredictable, constantly offering chances to grow and to learn. We always have choices in life, and therapy is an opportunity to become more intentional and thoughtful in the choices that we make.
EXPLORE YOUR FEELINGS AND MOODS
We are here to help and listen in a safe environment.

Dr. Black's goal as a Counselor/Therapist is to create a warm, supportive environment in which clients can begin to understand their feelings while discovering what barriers may exist that limit their full potential. She takes an integrative approach to client wellness by way of her "Believe Theory".

The approach is eclectic, which means she brings knowledge from various modalities that incorporate family systems, behavior base, rational emotive, cognitive behavioral, and positive Believe Theory. However; most of all, her method is humanistic and relationship-oriented. The counseling relationship is most important in which one person is connecting to another. It’s important to establish a genuine relationship, and you will feel supported and understood, as well as comfortable in a safe environment.

Dr. Black has a capacity for understanding that is greater than anyone I have ever known. She's professional and still down to earth, incredibly knowledgeable, and so genuinely caring. It's clear that she is very passionate about her work.

The therapy is creative, open, post modern, challenging, growth-full and has changed my life in many ways. The biggest thing I've learned is that to identify ourselves with our own thoughts and feelings is a large obstacle to growth and awareness.
Danny K.
Dr. Black is one of the most sincere, caring and professional people I've ever had the chance to meet. I think anyone who needed someone to talk to would be in very good hands.
Joanna L.
Good as it gets? Yea, I'd say so, she's fantastic. When in need, just do it.

I visited Dr.Black for counseling after my brother passed away. She is very caring, an excellent listener, and very understanding. She always made me feel like I was her only patient. I'd highly recommend her for people like me who aren't really sure whether or not they need help finding their way.
Cynthia H.
I went to see Dr. Black for couples counseling and highly recommended her. From the first phone contact I felt her warmth and professionalism.
As a therapist, Dr. Black has an innate capacity to be present with me wherever I am at emotionally or cognitively. She allows me time to explore and process my thoughts/feelings.
